A lofty goal, but Social Media, blogs, the Internet, and mobile devices allow for the possibility of reaching a large audience even without the benefit of a large corporate budget. We think this leveling of the playing field can take the fat out of products and services necessitated by huge advertising expenditures of large companies. The Mortgage Compare Team is headed up by David Angres. David has been the Residential Mortgage Manager at Cole Taylor Bank since May, 2010. Prior to Cole Taylor, David founded Capital Funding Mortgage Company, LLC (CFMC) and sold it to Draper and Kramer after ten years of successful operations. CFMC was a well-known residential mortgage banker located in Chicago. David opened CFMC in July 1999 and grew the company to 85 professionals at time of acquisition. He remained at Draper and Kramer as a Sales Manager for their First Advanatage Mortgage residential arm until moving to Cole Taylor.
David built the infrastructure and operations of CFMC and directly oversaw 31 employees covering Loan Processing, Underwriting, Warehouse Line Management, Compliance, Accounting/Reporting, IT and Marketing functions.
David was consistently counted as a Top Five salesperson within the company despite his numerous other responsibilities.
Prior to starting his financial services business, David began his career with a four-year stint as an Analyst for Prudential, spent a year in Colorado as a “ski bum”, went to b-school for an MBA and originated Commerical Mortgage-Backed Securities for GE Capital Real Estate.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Illinois in 1990 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. David went on to receive a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan in 1997.
When he is not working, David enjoys time with family and friends and pursues interests including skiing, windsurfing, scuba, golf and live music.
